I was already so fascinated with the way fur twists and sits on a dog's body, but when I paired it with feathers, claws, water, and movement, everything felt complete. I love the relationship owners have with their bird dogs. It's more than an owner-pet relationship, it's a partnership. These dogs are working dogs. Sometimes their people even forget their dog isn't a human like them. In the work I've done so far, you can see the pride these dogs take in the hunt. It's satisfying to them just like it is to their owner. I want to capture that.
